General Voting Information

In-Person Absentee Voting (Early Voting)

In-person absentee voting (early voting) for the April 2 Spring Election is available at Monona City Hall (5211 Schluter Rd.) from Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 29.  Hours for in-person absentee voting are as follows:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Extended hours are available as follows:
    • Wednesday, March 20:  8:00 am-7:00 pm
    • Saturday, March 23:  8:00 am-noon
    • Wednesday, March 27:  8:00 am-7:00 pm

Voters are required to show a photo I.D. Voters who are not registered to vote in Monona must also bring proof of their current address.

Polling Place Information


Monona has two locations for people to vote. Both polling places open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. and are accessible to elderly and disabled voters.

  • Voters in wards 1-5 vote at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona.
  • Voters in wards 6-10 vote at the Monona Community Center, 1011 Nichols Road, Monona.
