Wellness on the Water is a Monona's newest fitness series offered by Monona Parks & Recreation.The Wellness on the Water goal is to facilitate improvement of the overall health and wellness within our local community by educating and empowering individuals through fitness.
Be sure to push yourself mentally and physically with our Wellness on the Water series in order to jump start your long term health and fitness goals.
These outdoor classes are open to all! Come with friends or meet new people with common interests!
Social distancing requirements will be meet and class sizes must be kept under 25 people.
This class when done consistently will give you the six pack you have always wanted! 25 straight minutes of core work using a variety of different exercises using upper, lower and oblique muscles ending with a stretch.
High Intensity Interval Training to burn calories, build strength and endurance. Start with calisthenics warm-ups and then blast through 3 rounds of exercises that range from cardio conditioning to toning with weights. Burn more, go harder and push into your next level of fitness.
WERQ is the fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock, and hip hop music. The warm up previews the dance steps in class and the cool down combines yoga-inspired static stretching and balance poses. WERQ is taught by Certified Fitness Professionals, so the WERQout is safe and effective.
The “power” in Power yoga isn’t about powering through the poses, but instead, finding your own power within. We will practice traditional postures, focus on alignment, and link them together using your breath. When challenged physically, the mind can begin to clear, and as the breath becomes steady and deeper, you’ll feel your own energy flow stronger, allowing your spirit to shine. Detoxify the body and purify the mind in this powerful class and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Not recommended for brand new students. All-levels to Intermediate welcome.
