The Comprehensive Plan is a long range policy guide to the community’s physical, social and economic development. Each of the nine plan elements provides an inventory of the topic and related data, and identifies trends, goals and policies for the future.
The City of Monona adopted its first Comprehensive Plan in 2004. The City's Plan Commission completed an updated plan in 2016 which was adopted by an Ordinance of the City Council on April 4, 2016. The 2016 Plan is a complete repeal and replacement of the original 2004 Plan.
