The City of Monona currently employs approximately 70 full-time and permanent part-time employees in eight departments, including Administration, Police and Emergency Dispatch, Fire and EMS, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Library, Senior Center, and Community Media.

Seasonal Opportunities
The Monona Parks & Recreation Department hires approximately 75 employees every summer for seasonal positions including lifeguards, aquatic attendants, parks attendants and mowing crew, recreation instructors, and playground leaders. Openings for these summer positions are usually posted in late January/early February.  In addition, other limited-term opportunities for recreation instructors, site supervisors, and gym supervisors are available throughout the year.  Watch this site for these openings, or complete a job interest card and check "Parks & Recreation", and you'll receive an email when these seasonal positions are posted.
