Monona Farmers' Market

Sunday, October 28, 2018

This is the last market of the year!

The Monona Farmers Market brings its 15th season to a close on Sunday, October 28.   Don’t miss this last opportunity to pick up fresh, locally-grown fall produce, meat, cheeses, honey, baked goods and do some early holiday shopping.

Bring the whole family.  Stop by Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s (ALNC) table and check out their Skins, Skulls and Scat activity.  It’s guaranteed to be interesting and fun!  Find out about upcoming events for all ages at ALNC.

Singer/songwriter and acoustic guitar player Jourdan Hines along with his wife Mary will wrap up the season of great live entertainment This lively duo will delight market goers with their feel-good music that comes straight from the heart.

As another successful season comes to a close, it’s important to recognize those who make it possible to have great local food, fun live entertainment and valued community connections for twenty-six Sundays of the year.   The market would not be possible without the generous financial support of the business and individual market sponsors and the behind-the-scenes work of the volunteer steering committee. Also adding to the market’s success are the volunteer Master Gardeners who donate time and expert advice, regional non-profit groups share their information, Mayor Mary O’Connor and other community leaders connect with the community and entertainers share their talents.  Of course, the commitment of top quality vendors and the patronage of an estimated 1,200 to 1500 weekly market shoppers make the market a success – a heartfelt thanks to all.

In preparation for the 2019 season, the market is actively seeking sponsors and volunteers.  For contact information go to the market website at

EBT is accepted.  The Double Dollars Program is available.

The market, located at Ahuska Park, 400 E. Broadway, is open from 9:00 to 1:00.
