  26. Stepping On Falls Prevention Course

    Stepping On is an effective falls prevention program for older adults. EAch class is two hours and meets weekly for 7 weeks. Build your balance including strength exercises based on curriculum by Stanford University. Each class is taught by a medically trained leader and will feature a guest speaker who will provide information about Fall hazards, your fall risk, up-to-date falls prevention information and how vision and medication can affect falls.   30. Covered Bridges with David Mossner

    While living in Indiana, David Mossner learned the Hoosier State has many covered bridges. After photographing a few, he wanted to see more. Indiana has 90, and he photographed all of them. When he moved back to Wisconsin, there was only one. Since then, he has searched other states, finding one bridge in Minnesota, several in Michigan, and a bunch in Illinois. There are ten in Iowa calling for him to visit. They are beautiful and unique - living pieces of history and art that helped our ancestors get us over water. You are invited to Travel in Time and visit the covered bridges of the upper Midwest, Thursday, February 27 at the Monona Senior Center at 10 am.
