  3. Harvest Moon Festival

    September 28, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Lussier Family Heritage Center

    Join an autumnal celebration of the natural world featuring interactive exhibits and live creatures from such groups as the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, International Crane Foundation and UW-Madison Entomology along a torch-lit trail! Also enjoy locally-sourced silent auction, chili and homemade pie supper, live bluegrass band, roaring bon fire, s’mores, kettle corn, and more! Great event rain or shine. Admission is $5.00 per person (ages 5 and under are free). Military children are free with parent’s military identification. The Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area, a non-profit organization that supports the Capital Springs Recreation Area, organizes this event to raise critical funds for ongoing educational and outreach programming throughout the year. Two all-terrain wheelchairs are available for no charge – please contact 608-224-3606 to reserve.

  5. Hoot Hoot Hustle

    Enjoy a great fall morning and participate in the 5th annual Hoot Hoot Hustle! This FUN RUN benefits Winnequah School PTO and the Monona Parks and Recreation Depoartment. The 5-km run follows the course of the Lake Monona 5k. The 1-mile walk follows the perimeter of Winnequah Park. Registration fee includes a t-shirt and post-race party.
